The internet can be a wonderful resource of information... my local branch #f07 has a #signalgenerator Adret Electronique 7100D, a device at least 10 years older than me... most manuals you find are in french, but another member found a lot of information in english.
now I can not only test if the #hermeslite2 does receive anything on #50mhz but also how well it performs above its nyquist frequency of 38.4 MHz ( half the samplerate of the #ad9866 in the #hl2 )

First time trying SparkSDR on #Linux Mint with my #hermeslite2 . Built-in FT8 capability (wsjt-x still needs to be installed). Got a POTA contact. Weird thing is that the radio will transmit with power (5W) doing it this way, but not under CAT control from wsjt-x itself.
Doing some #QRP #AmateurRadio from the #Motorhome this morning - #HermesLite2 and #Thetis with a screwdriver antenna. I’ll bring this to #EMFCamp if anyone wants to check out a low-cost #SDR transceiver. #HamRadio #AmateurFunk

New to me, a Hermes-Lite 2 SDR. Thanks to #W8TAM for the loaner. I promised I would write up my findings.

First plan, set it up as a receiver under OpenWebRX+ following the discussion on the wiki at https://github.com/jketterl/openwebrx/wiki/HPSDR-(including-Hermes-Lite-2)-device-notes

There's a Pi 5 on its way as well, so maybe everything eventually lands on that. Until then I'll use my Pi 400 which already has OpenWebRX+ running.

First antenna for this (receive only!!!) is my Youloop.

Transmit follows later.
