Realizing this morning I had some cron jobs that #ClaudeCode had set up for me, but they are no longer running because I canceled my #Anthropic #ClaudeMax subscription.

#HermesAgent is doing a bang-up job of looking at what Claude had set up and migrating it to Hermes-native cronjobs.

If you're not already using the Hermes #Kanban feature, I highly suggest checking it out. It keeps the agent on rails to follow a step by step process with a bit more determinism so no step is skipped, and it cannot progress to the next step until prior steps meet their success criteria.

One of the things I love most about #ObsidianMD is the graph view. But now with #AI helping me with my notes, the volume has picked up a bit (as has the value). And now my poor M4 Mac Mini slows to a crawl trying to render the graph view. I kind of have a lot of notes.

This graph view does not show ghost notes & tags. These are all actual notes.

I do use a molecular notes scheme which has a tendency to create a higher volume of notes for a given source material or research session. But the payoff is I get rich cross-pollination of ideas out of it. This is not the Karpathy system. I've been at this awhile and it's more sophisticated than that.

I'm now 100% weened off of #Anthropic #Claude. My Max subscription has lapsed and I'm not planning to renew.

I've found I can do everything I want to do with #OpenCode + #HermesAgent as harnesses. I'm using #OpenCodeGo for inference and fail over to #OpenCodeZen when my Go subscription hits a limit.

But with #DeepseekV4 Flash I'm finding it hard to hit that limit. I'm actually getting better outcomes without Claude now.

Hermes Desktop is what you use if you like the idea of Hermes Agent but not the setup.

Normally, you’d install it through the terminal, deal with configs, APIs, and hope nothing breaks. Here, you just install an app and open it. It sets things up, asks what provider you want to use, and drops you into a working interface.

You still get all the agent stuff, tools, memory, integrations, but without the usual issues.
