#MaggieTheDog isn’t long for this world. Without her, I don’t meet #SadieTheCat (my #HeartCat) or Sadie’s people or get into fostering or find my way out of California. She was my first time knowing a pit bull (and the source of my weakness for pitties).

Glad I snuck in a visit when I went to bury Walt in March. Wish I could hug Jessie (her person), Maggie is her #HeartDog.

How did you know you were ready for a new companion? How did you know it was time? Alternatively, how did you know it WASN'T time yet?

(I'm less interested in how long it took to be ready, and more in the cognitive/emotional/psychological/somatic signs that it was or wasn't time.)
