Currently working on the 13-point Grateful Dead lightning bolt on the hearse. It's in the space area of the whole concept, so I'm going to try to style it like a gas nebula in texture, except with much more rigid boundaries. Maybe more like a portal then. But right now it's just yellow as fuck.

Progress on the hearse paint! Starting with the vinyl because it's way easier, but eventually the metal will get painted too.

More progress on painting the hearse
(Spotty blue area in front will be redone, I ran out of blue paint)

More hearse art prep - making the stencil for the 13-point Grateful Dead lightning bolt which will go around / behind the Landau bolt.

Still a bit of work to go, but the hearse is looking the most put-together it ever has! (The bed will cover the two big holes in the floor, which are for storage space 'below deck'.)

First security camera (out of four total) is now set up on the hearse! Don't know yet if I can get rid of those backup lines. If not, that's an acceptable tradeoff for how cheap the whole system was.

The sink for the hearse is looking good! Just need to finish the plumbing (easier than it sounds, at least I hope so) and build the cabinet doors.

My battery is mounted and charging! The standard approach of using an aluminum battery tray + bolts wasn't an option for me, for a few reasons. So I had to make my own battery cage out of wood... I think it's decently sturdy, but it's also below about 1 inch of metal (with a thin veneer of wood on top). So either way I should be protected in case of a collision. (Which I am protected from by way of sheer willpower πŸ•΄)

The only part that sucks is, if I get a flat tire, I'll have to completely remove the battery and cage in order to access my spare. But turning a hearse into a camper requires some trade-offs. Hopefully my willpower extends to my tires too.

I've had to learn to be an amateur carpenter and electrician to accomplish this. Installing new brain software feels good. Building something that can't really be taken away from me feels good.

Dear mechanics and car-folk of Pixelfed: does anyone know wtf this is? It was loosely tucked underneath the battery for my hearse, but not really attached to anything. It looks like tubing but both ends are completely solid. The "stem" where the ends join is connected to, or passes through, the main body of the hearse through a rubber grommet.
