Heavy rains have caused severe flooding in our healing garden in Chamchamal.
These photos and video were taken by colleagues as they tried to save and salvage what they could.
Unfortunately, many pieces of equipment were damaged. Our water treatment system, biogas plant and solar power installation have been impacted.
Sadly, the flooding came on too quickly and some of the animals have died.
More rain is forecast for today, but hopefully it won't cause any further damages.
Initial estimates are that repairs and replacements will amount to some €7000.

The hospital where I work has a healing garden outside the entrance that I use, with a variety of lovely flowers, including this one that I had never seen before: the spiny bear's breeches (𝘈𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘶𝘴):

The Foodbank Players are carefully tweaking "The Taming of the Shrew," one of Shakespeare’s most sexist plays. "The result is a fun, whimsical, absurdist romp through Padua, complete with a new character called Feminista... who addresses the misogyny of the original script," writes Kelsey Goeres. https://alamedapost.com/features/arts/taming-shrew-webster-street-silly-colorful-treat/

From a couple of weeks ago. As part of making time for myself, I would wander around the garden and check on the flowers. #prairieinthegarden #river #mississippi #beebalm #healinggarden
