A small win for #repair / #reuse. I have a 13 y.o. pair of AudioTechnica M-30 headphones. I recently replaced the cushions, and was happy that it breathed new life into them.
Later the tip of the 3.5 mm headphone plug broke off. I spent a lot of time reading about replacing the plug, and I finally wanted to buy https://www.neutrik.com/en/product/ntp3rc
With shipping to India being prohibitively expensive, I bought a generic one from Amazon. I'll figure out how to get this top-of-the-line one the next time I need #headphone plugs.
Now the problem of having to attach it. I could have probably bought a soldering gun and followed some tutorial, but I decided to go with the easy way out. Found a speaker/DJ-equipment repair shop in Camp, Pune (Madonna Electronics) and the guy did it for ₹100 ($1.13). Victory.
These headphones are preferable for work calls than my Simgot EW200 IEMs as the over-ear headphones are better for hearing myself speak and what's going on around me (when my wife wants to call me from another room 🤣).

Say masto,
I've this headset from a famous brand with great noise-cancellation feature and all.
But soon, it'd have cost me more by repeatedly (basically every eight month or so) changing the ear cushions than the initial, already high, price.
So, I guess, I'm looking for advice on a brand/model of headset which is known for the noise cancellation and the duration of the whole product.
