Boah, das ist ja, als würde man jemanden nach dem Lieblingskind fragen. Die Süntel-Buche, Tausende Blumen, Tiere, schöne Landschaften in Wales ... keine Ahnung?! Ich nehme mal dieses Bild vom Februar 2025, das ich damals auch schon gepostet hatte. Dass ich es noch nicht von Telefon gelöscht habe, zeigt, dass ich es sehr mag. 😅 Es ist ein #Hauswurz im #Schnee, aufgenommen vor der Haustür.

Sempervivum montanum (Mountain Houseleek) is a hardy perennial succulent native to mountainous regions of Central and Southern Europe. It forms dense rosettes of fleshy, reddish-green leaves and produces striking pink, star-shaped flowers on upright stalks during summer. The plant thrives in rocky, well-drained alpine soils and is well adapted to harsh, sunny conditions.
Mountain Houseleek provides nectar for alpine pollinators such as bees and hoverflies. Its compact growth helps stabilize thin mountain soils, and it plays a role in early successional stages of alpine plant communities.
Traditionally, its leaves have been used externally for their soothing, anti-inflammatory, and cooling properties similar to Aloe vera. Folk medicine applied the fresh sap to minor burns, insect bites, and skin irritations.

Ich finde den einzelnen Blütenstand irgendwie melancholisch.
