NateWhile on a quick road trip up to Port Townsend the low-tire-pressure light came on. Stopped by a gas station but their air pump was out of service. Spotted a Les Schwab (car tire place) down the street. They topped off the tires and and the tech took a test drive to reset the low-tire-pressure light. While doing so, a driver in a car in front of them randomly backed into them, damaging our car.
The driver of the car had valid insurance, there were no injuries, both cars involved were operable and didn’t flee the scene, but Les Schwab still called the cops (boo)
The tech didn’t need to do the test drive at all. You reset the light by holding a button down for a few seconds.
What could’ve been $.50USD and 60 seconds at at a self service air pump is now a WHOLE THING.
