They're either not using #Hashtags at all, or are using hashtags that are already so specific to them that'd I'd never see them unless I was Following them already

@fediforum @[email protected] @evanprodromou Ooo... So, if I get this right, this is another way of making hashtag-based timelines (like I describe here: https://bammerlaan.nl/posts/Using-hashtags-Mastodon)

You could make a Mastodon list, fill it with the accounts boosting the hashtags you like and you have the same effect!

If you follow scientific #hashtags like entomology, ichthyolia, botany, lepidoptera etc., and get spammed with a German "japanese" #AISlop account - report it.
Moderators won't like hashtag spamming.
Behind the account: "Orophylia Editorial Team. Global technology analysis powered by AI and human expertise." Anonymous ...

And of course, I blocked it after reporting: I want a timeline free of AI slop pretending to make "art" with the stolen training 'material' by real human artists!
