“I fell into depression with a horrible childhood in boarding school, a victim of bullying. The teachers mistreated us with terrible punishments. I ran naked in the snow at 3 a.m.”: he reveals Filippo Nardi.

Yesterday, Sunday, March 29th, Filippo Nardi was a guest in the living room of “Verissimo,” becoming popular in Italy almost 25 years ago after having outbursts over cigarettes. From there, an entire life passed after the second edition of “Big Brother” in 2001. “I am very calm, I have various problems that we all have – Nardi said -, but beneath the discomfort, I’ve arrived at a serenity, I still have that character. Losing it? I don’t deny that it was my luck, but it’s 25 years ago, and if I hadn’t improved and dampened some of my impulsiveness, maybe I wouldn’t be the man I am now. I quit smoking cigarettes many years ago. Sometimes I use the electronic ones because otherwise I would be perfect.”

During the interview, the former “Big Brother” contestant also talked about many aspects of his private life: “I moved to Romagna a year ago, to a beautiful place. – he said – Waiting to find another job, I deliver pizzas and I enjoy it when they recognize me. Whoever scandalizes themselves over this choice does so because they believe there are high and low jobs, but for me it’s simply work, and that’s fine.”

“Someone says ‘he mustn’t stoop to do such a job’ – he clarified – because I was part of that world. But there’s no high or low job. At the end of the day, it’s a nice job, and I like it a lot.”

And again: “I fell into depression because I lost hope. There was a moment where I thought about doing bad things, but then it passed. My childhood was horrible: I was in boarding school, and it seemed like Harry Potter’s school but it wasn’t fun. There was bullying, the professors mistreated us, and the punishments were terrible. Once I ran naked under the snow at 3 a.m. It was a very bad experience.”

It's so hypocritical that people who oppose #AI because it doesn't compensate or credit original creators are asking people to download pirated copies of the new Harry Potter movies because they oppose J.K. Rowling.

If piracy is wrong, then it should be wrong everywhere. You can't promote piracy in #movies, #music, and #books and oppose #LLMs.

“Rowling has made it abundantly clear that she thinks attacking transgender people via the legal system is a worthwhile cause and a good use of her vast personal fortune. And as much as #HarryPotter fans might be excited to see what HBO has cooked up, there’s no way to watch this show without supporting Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on a vulnerable minority.”

Moore is very cute about the whole business; I believe he's clever enough never to name Harry Potter explicitly, even though every single detail of his character's life is an exact match to Jo Rowling's Harry Potter. Hogwarts is in there, as "the Invisible College"; Moore's Potter destroys the school and slaughters everyone there once he finds out that he's the Antichrist and all his adventures were arranged by Aleister Crowley.

Er, I mean by Oliver Haddo, the fictive mage based on Crowley and villain of W. Somerset Maugham's The Magician. There are wheels within wheels here.

Now...uh...clearly Alan Moore is giving his commentary on #HarryPotter as a literary and popular phenomenon. Whatever one thinks of Potter as a character—he still has his honest fans—one must acknowledge that as a corporate icon or idol of Jo Rowling's cult of personality, Harry Potter is something of a false prophet. He's a flimsy Christ figure in a contrived and unimaginative fantasy franchise, and yet Rowling's admirers hold him up as the proof that JKR is a rôle model for children and a goddess of storytelling.

And now he's being flogged round again, forced back into childhood once again you could say, forced to spend another several years onscreen reliving the same old adventures, for no better reason than JKR's last-gasp attempt to revive her withered reputation.

Does Potter have an opinion on the subject? I mean...egregore Harry Potter. The collective psyche of Harry Potter.
