#Sudbury & #Harrow Road Station’s underpass has been transformed into a large-scale mural funded by a community grant from Chiltern Railways’ #Community Investment Fund. The artwork, installed by Friends of Barham Library, reflects the #history and heritage of the station and surrounding area, and is located a short walk from #Barham Community Library. Created by mural artist LeSpleen in collaboration with the group, the piece depicts the station’s early years when steam trains ran through open countryside in the early 1900s. It also includes a plaque outlining the station’s history. The mural was officially unveiled at an event on Tuesday 19 May. Chiltern Railways said the project improves station environments and customer experience, while the Friends of Barham Library said it brings #accessible public art celebrating local #heritage.
