Today was one of the hardest days of my life. We were hit by flooding after nonstop heavy rain, and every moment felt like a tough battle against nature. We tried our best to protect what we could, but the fear and exhaustion were overwhelming. We watched things we love at risk, feeling helpless against the force of the water. It was a long, exhausting day, filled with pain and unforgettable heavy emotions. 💔

The last two days at work have been rough. I’ve been challenged to catch up after taking Friday off because it was (weirdly) the busiest day we’ve had all year.

Late this afternoon, USPS dropped off an unexpected package. My brother, who inherited our childhood home after our Mom passed, dug out Dad’s old workshop tools. He bought a used billiard 8-ball for 99¢ at the Goodwill store, searched online for the proper thread size and pitch for a 1973 VW gear shift lever, and routed the 8-ball to fit as a shift knob in my VW.

He added a note: “I think Dad would have wanted you to have another one made at least by his tools, if not his own hand. Drive in his spirit.”

This was a really long day.
In work I worried all day, that maybe I broke something really important… After 9-10 hour debugging it turned out it wasn’t me.

Afternoon, we had our annual carnival concert, with lot of new music, and four movie music with projection from movie scenes.

I did not broke stuff in work. We did a pretty great show.
