I have just had one of those "Oh. Is that how it works!" moments.
I took out a box of long abandoned oil pastels intending to experiment with colour for an oil painting I want to paint. The pastels had been abandoned because I couldn't understand oil pastels. Just messy I thought.
As I played I realised that with years more experience in art I understood the basics of oil pastels that eluded me previously.
Not well executed but a start.

Yesterday afternoon when I was getting in my car, a male Anna's Hummingbird flew right up to me & looked me in my face.

Startled the heck outta me for a split second before I was awed to my core.

Stunning little fella.

Photo from Google images... The real bird was too speedy for me to consider capturing in camera.
