I've already got a long list of things to do, starting with de-Christmassing the shop tomorrow and creating a new window display, ready for reopening on Tuesday. Then it's full steam ahead with planning for the Scottish Trade Show in a couple of weeks time.

In the meantime, here's a little photo dump of the last week, which included a sparkly NYE celebration at the fabulous Ad Gefrin distillery and a birthday weekend away in the Scottish Borders. I don't know whether I'm ready for getting back to the normal routine tomorrow, or if I need a few more days off to recover! 😁

Hi, Hello and Happy New Year 🎉
I'm still here, just enjoying the last few days before I come out of hibernation next week, ready to tackle whatever 2026 throws at me!
In the meantime, I guess it's safe now to start sharing some of the pieces I made as gifts this Christmas. I had my heart in my mouth piercing out this crow pendant (not least because crows and corvids in general give me the heebie-jeebies 😳), but I was really pleased with how it turned out.
Thankfully my client was pretty happy with it too, which is what really counts. Phew!

Christmas opening hours, just in case you need to know!
It's been a lovely last couple of days in the shop, and I'll be there until 3pm tomorrow for anyone who still needs a helping hand finalising that elusive perfect Christmas gift. ☺️
I'll also be open for a few hours on Saturday, before taking a much needed week off for some R&R over the New Year period. It's needed!
I've got a couple of commissions left to finish, then my bench is officially closed for 2025. My poor hands are starting to get VERY excited about having a couple of weeks off!
