And that was a short, but decent #workout!
Managed to freemount and do a clean ride across the short side of the theater. (probably ~15ft) For a first night back on a #unicycle , I'm pretty happy.
My Randomized Handstands: ( "->" indicates a transition during the same handstand)
1.) Jump to tuck, from standing -> straight -> open tuck -> cartwheel out on the left - Succeeded on the 1st attempt
2.) Jump to straddle, from standing -> stag, right knee bent -> half straddle, left knee bent -> underbalance down, to the Left - completed on the 1st attempt
3.) Failed to jump to tuck on blocks, from low.
4.) Failed to jump to straddle on blocks, from low
5.) Jump to straddle from low -> stag, right knee bent -> Failed to do an L -> underbalance down, center.
I struggled with accidental bent arms on both of the otherwise "successful" sequences. Clearly there's still something in my shoulders that's grumpy enough that my body is subconsciously avoiding making them work. Something to keep an eye on and push to correct.
Really enjoyed playing around with adding "crab" into my movement work, and actually found myself playing with it during/directly following my "lizard" explorations, rather than saving it for later in the night, which was quite fun.

Things went well, but I managed to really wear myself out trying a new sillyness with my handstands.
Got PT done, got 1000 club catches and 94 plunger catches, which isn't too shabby.
Flew the *tiniest* bit of acro, and did randomized shape practice that had me jumping onto a handstand on a raised platform, which I haven't done in a *while*.
Pretty happy with the night! (Bonus, friends joined us online!!)

Did everything I was hoping for and more!
My long hold handstand wasn't quite as garbage as I was expecting, I managed a 30s hold, and probably a longer one when I was playing with shapes later, but I wasn't timing those.
Hit 1000 clean with clubs, and worked on getting more control on throwing doubles (in a passing pattern my doubles are fine, but to myself I haven't really practiced in *years*), and then did 200 catches with the plungers, and missed the circus double I was going for for the clean out.
@RussSharek and I played around with some basic passing until something went wonky and I ended up taking a club to the face. Didn't hurt long, but the red mark was still there when I went to take my contacts out before food.
I played around with some body movement, and even managed a short hold on one arm!! (I don't know the name of the hold for sure, it's a variant of a crocodile if anyone's familiar with that)
Also did the tiniest bit of partner acro midway through when we were theoretically already cooling down and stretching lol
A *very* good night, and I really enjoyed it!

Today I'm feeling pretty good, despite doing a *lot* of yardwork in #thisOldClownHouse yesterday.
So I'm hoping for PT, some solid juggling numbers, maybe some pass juggling if my juggling partner is up for it, and a bit of work on maintaining my handstands. As I've been *doing* handstands, I haven't been working on holding for *time* in quite a while, and I'd like to.
I've spent a large portion of the day sanding in #thisOldClownHouse, so I expect I will not have as much acro-ness or handbalance as I might like tonight. My hands are *tired*
Still, I'm going to do my PT, and try to do some acro, some juggling, and some handbalancing. We'll see how it goes!

I think I'm gonna take a look at this pt guide for post op recovery that is specifically for top surgery and run through the exercises, feel them out.
Then I'm going to do my normal playing about upsidedown on my hands :)

Allrighty, first workout of the new year.
Goal is some good body movement explorations and hopefully some partner acro.
I *am* running low on sleep as I pulled an all nighter to reset my sleep schedule.. so we'll see how it goes!
Ok. I've been a mess for a couple of weeks. And I think I figured out that I was managing to low-calorie myself without realizing it. That has been addressed, and hopefully by the end of *this* week, I'll be a bit more myself.
But we go slowly back into things after being out of it for a while. So, hoping for a few handstands and maybe an acro trick. That's the hopes. Mostly it'll be moving the bones.
