Back in 2023, the then 23 year old game Half-Life: Opposing Force had a massive spike in players playing it on Steam at the same time.

Because some Half-Life fans thought that an all-time peak of just over 500 players was way too low and the game deserves much higher. 😅

After many years I was on a Lanparty today. And it was like back in 1999: Drag your stuff to the location, network debugging, Half-Life, Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, Pizza, Energy Drinks, ...
But one thing was different: Instead of hauling a 30kg tower PC, I brought my Steam Deck, completely with Linux on it. And it worked great. First Windows-less Lanparty, at least for me.
