A hacker is someone who refuses to accept things as they are and instead wonders how they could be. 💡🕵🏾‍♀️

If that sounds like you—even a little—you’ll fit right in. 🫵🏽👌🏼

There’s a strong maker spirit at Hakkerileiri: learning by doing, breaking things (sometimes on purpose), fixing them, and creating something new from limited resources. 👷👷‍♀️

You might be a hacker if curiosity drives you,
if experimenting feels more fun than following instructions, if problem-solving excites you or if you enjoy making things work in unexpected ways.

Do you need to be a hacker to join Hakkerileiri?
Short answer: nope. Not even close. ⛺️

Hakkerileiri was born from a simple idea:
what if we brought a hacker camp to Finland and filled it with curious, like-minded adults who enjoy figuring things out together? 💡

You don’t need a hoodie, a terminal, or secret knowledge. It’s enough to be interested. 🙋🏻

Camp is a different beast than a normal conference. We go there to hang with
each other and enjoy the fresh air. We build the experience as we go, so every camp is different.

What Hakkerileiri is
• Workshops, chats, and tasty bites
• Sweating out bugs and leveling up together
• Chilling with the community and recharging in nature

You have most likely been to cyber security events before, but hacker camps are a bit different. We want you to get the most out of this camp so we asked our community to describe what the main differences are. Here are some of their thoughts.

Hakkerileiri is not
• Neck ties or high heels
• Strict rules or private groups
• Consuming without participation
