Making them act as a "digital post office" would be an option.

@BackFromTheDud not that we are aware of. There is London Hackspace https://london.hackspace.org.uk/
There is a "hackerspaces" list of hackspaces https://wiki.hackerspaces.org/United_Kingdom but it isn't hugely up-to-date (we haven't been able to get on it in all the time we have existed!) you could also try the #HackspaceFoundation https://www.hackspace.org.uk/ they have a map which you will find #UK #Hackspaces on. The Foundation also have guidance on how to start your own if there isn't one near enough to you. We started from a few folks meeting in a pub 🙂
