For me, having a large number of identical, mass-produced toppers all over the country really misses the point of them, and reduces the impact of the genuine ones. We already get more than enough advertsing in our lives, and some spaces should be left untainted by it for individual self-expression. I really hope this isn't a trend in advertising which takes off.

I really like the knitted and crochetted postbox toppers you now see around Glasgow, amd elsewhere, on a regular basis. They showcase the best of creativity, street art and bringing a little individuality, joy and colour to everyday life. However, I'm really not too sure how I feel about this one on Great Western Road in the Kelvinside area of Glasgow.

Love this yarn-bombed memorial bench in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens. The brightly coloured knitted cover is in place each yeat from April to October and is in memory of the knitter's mother.
