You buy them unripe, and leave them to ripen. But if you don't eat them in the exact five minutes they're ripe - which is probably at 03:25 some random morning - then they spoil.
I bought some #guavas at The Apple Tree yesterday. They're usually unobtainable. These guavas are not yet quite ripe, so I've opened the packet to give them a couple of days' air. And they're *so aromatic*. The whole house smells delicious and exotic now.
