Around the Taipei Guanghua market 光華商場, today and in 2004: zillions of parked scooters, and building-size ads for all things PC DIY.
Since ~20 years ago the market occupied several locations, for reasons of growth and better representation: the PC industry in Taiwan is world class! Also the old bridge had to go.
On these old pictures you see the old location, kinda tucked away beneath the Guanghua bridge. Less free space, but the same feel of densely packed sales booths as today: each offering one or two specialties and staff happy to negotiate prices if you ask nicely.
Today, the Guanghua Digital Plaza is just next door.
