2026 is the year of the Boycott Garden. Last year I learnt how to jar tomatoes and took advantage of my dad’s garden and the boxes of tomatoes sold at the end of last summer. This year, I’m trying to grow my own tomatoes. I am NOT a very good gardener but I want to try! I live in a house apartment and the previous upstairs tenants gardened a bit, but the new tenants aren’t interested so I’m claiming it. Right now, I’ve planted three Roma tomato plants. I’m planting potatoes in the laundry basket because getting anything bigger is impractical. I’m also planting some herbs in a pot.

Part of me wants to try plant something else too, but I fear over complicating things for myself. Tomatoes are my main vegetable of choice for canning so I should just make sure I am stocked for the winter. lol

Tomato, alaskas fertilizer

Has anyone had good luck with Alaska fish fertilizer and Alaska morbloom? It's my first time adding it alone with regular organic tomato granular fertilizer and bone meal. Seems like it's doing great. I will continue to update.. thanks by Altruistic_Divide_12

Should I pluck the blooms off of my tomato plants?

Someone saw my plants and said they are too young to grow fruit and that I should pluck the blooms and let them get older. Do you agree with this suggestion? by tablecoffeebook

Tall Tiny Tim?

Hey all! I planted six Tiny Tim tomatoes this year and noticed they are all super tall compared to how they were last year. Last year they grew more compact, any ideas what could be happening here? Pictures are today (purple) vs last year (red). Started indoors like last year, the only new thing would [...]

Newbie question

Hi. New here. First time growing maters. Decided to go with early girl. Plan to use 10 gallon grow bags but I need to decide what kind of support I want to use for the vines. Thanks in advance. by Exact_Analysis_2551
