DLR - Earth Observation Center - EOC Technologien für den neuen europäischen Bodenbewegungsdienst

Die ersten Produkte des neuen Europäischen Bodenbewegungsdienstes (EGMS), eines EU-finanzierten Copernicus Land Monitoring Dienstes, wurden veröffentlicht. Der am EOC entwickelte Interferometrie-Prozessor IWAP errechnet die hochgenaue Bodenbewegungskarten aus Radarsatellitendaten. Durch die Auswertung jahrelanger Zeitserien und die Korrektur atmosphärischer Einflüsse können Bewegungen der Erdoberfläche millimetergenau bestimmt werden. Der DLR-Prozessor ist seit 2017 auch für den deutschen Bodenbewegungsdienst der Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR) im Einsatz.
