Two geographies, one shared pulse. Tokyo and Strasbourg —the latter, home of KALT, one of the key spaces of the European underground— function here as points of tension that resolve themselves in sound. The release comes via T&NE Records —Techno and Nothing Else— the French label presenting its reference number TNEREC-039, titled A Story of. The format is as clean as the sound: three tracks from Kazu, three tracks from Badray, each artist building their own chapter within a shared narrative. A structure that respects individual voices without fragmenting the whole.

And among those chapters, «Lambdoid» deserves a moment of pause before listening. The name derives from the Greek letter lambda —a symbol used, among other things, to represent wavelength in physics. This isn’t a decorative detail: it’s a key to how the track should be read.
Because the sound of this piece behaves exactly like a wave. It begins from very high levels, stabilizing its frequencies with a speed that surprises, and from that elevated position monitors the dancer with an almost sovereign presence —it surveys new bodies on the floor, subsumes them under its domain one by one, and holds them there. This is not a track that asks permission to take control. It simply takes it.
