Jeepers #SouthAfrica - #EV public charging seems to be a bit of a ...mess?

I am now aware of at least 4 entities/actors/components (#Rubicon, #GridCars, #ActiveCharge, #ChargePocket) that could/should/must be involved if I want to push electrons into an EV from charge points around here. There might be more.
Not one of them has clear procedures or channels to follow (to get you charging).

Everything kinda works like it was put together by the intern and Chet from marketing over a weekend.

I'll try the Rubicon card I got with car next.
It might be registered and working?
There is no way to tel via web or app.
Can't even login to web(?). Password reset does not seem be working 🤷‍♂️

It all feels super iffy.
Not a super experience so far, in terms of public charging

Welp,the first attempt to charge the TARDIS #EV with a #GridCars operated charger was a complete failure.
I could not get a charge session to start.

The #Rubicon app, where I have the vouchers that came with the car deal, couldn't find any session.
The QR code that just goes to a stupid whatsapp bot was utterly useless - tried to get me to create an account with yet another system. THAT site does not even have account creation abilities that I could find.
