Historic Greyfriars Kirk, basking in spring sunshine.

Despite all the stories of supposed hauntings, I have never been bothered by a spectre when filming here, even on night shoots. I assume the ghosts only go after tourists 😋.

Of course we said hello to wee Greyfriars Bobby, who is buried near the entrance (people leave him sticks to chase, rather sweet).

Part of #Greyfriars #Kirkyard that was used as a #Covenantor's #prison. In 1679 over one thousand supporters of the National Covenant who had been defeated by Government forces at the battle of Bothwell Brig on June 22 were #imprisoned here. For over four months they were held here without any shelter, each man being allowed 4 ounces of bread a day.
