Today I got more greeting cards cut from larger sheets of paper, and printed out some variety greeting card packs of local birds.

I also had a meeting with a colleague who will be coordinating an art exhibit with me at our local library.

And I restored my living room space back to what it was originally three weeks ago before I had to rearrange it into a pseudo studio-storefront for a large local Open Studios event for the last half month.

Then I applied for another event which I really enjoyed last year and can’t wait to do again.

And finally I printed a limited edition, signed and numbered greeting card featuring a Fairy Frog, which I’ll give away to the kids who pop into my booth at the Arcata Fairy Festival.

Done is good.

Have you bought a greeting card lately? I’m appalled that most cost $5 or more!

A greeting card is such a short-term item: a gesture that is generally discarded within a few minutes. And most aren't particularly funny or touching. So it's particularly galling that they are so expensive.

I buy the $0.99 greeting cards at Trader Joe's. They are good enough.

Today is a gorgeous day here in Eureka, CA, with the temperature at 60° and the sun bright. I’ll be downtown at Friday Night market tonight from 5:30-8:30pm, with four new greeting cards!

They’re my new Cooper’s Hawk, a Pileated Woodpecker, a Mallard Duck, and a Red-Legged Frog.

If you’re in the northern California area, I hope to see you there!
