Terrible Invasive Story 🙁

I had a real treat the other day when a Green Tree Frog visited me in the hot tub. I used to see these almost every day, but no more. Spring used to bring a cacophony of frogs chirping, but no more.

The reason is "The Beast" aka the #Invasive #CubanTreeFrog which EATS OTHER TREE FROGS! They are huge and toad-like. I kill them when I find them, but the battle is already lost where I live in north #Florida.

As you can see from the #Map, these invaders are moving north and are now #Endemic in my area (red circle). 👎

Found this hefty Green Tree Frog on the driveway tonight. He posed for a photo before hopping off in to the bush (and thus out of the way of the car).
