With the big harvest of green tomatoes before the midweek frost of last week, I'm starting a batch of green tomato pickles which I enjoy so much.
I don't have my mom's recipe of what was then called "green tomato chow chow" (?) Don't know where that name came from. Instead I have a few recipes of similar stuff, and I combine and elaborate on some amalgam of them.
