I haven't been to a city council meeting in a long time.

I wanted to get a look at the new post-election council that many are hoping is less corrupt than the last one, plus a friend was speaking during the public portion.

Even though the meetings are available live on Zoom, for me there was a learning atmosphere there to be had. Many of the regular participants from the public know each other.
