A few weeks ago I had a #GreenOnion
that "bolted" (budded). Quick search said it happens when they get stressed, and we did have a heatwave (almost 90°F) days before plummeting 30°.

This time 3 decided it's a great time to flower, but no extreme temp changes. We did have 2 days of very strong wind, tho...

I swear I didn't see buds yday, but maybe it was too windy.😅

I'm not a gardener, but I've been growing green onions by planting the bottom few centimeters of store-bought. Been doing this for a few years and I've never had this happen.

I read they can "bolt" when stressed... Like drastic temperature changes. 2 weeks ago I was in a crop top. Since last week I've been bundling up.🥲

It only happened to 1 of about 5 that were planted at the same time in the same pot.
