Hmmm, I'll be interested to see where this goes, for those who haven't heard, the lowest priced version of the Leaf isn't coming to the US, but Mitsubishi is basically in the business of selling cheap cars in the US, so I wonder if'n this'll be the way we get a cheap Nissan Leaf

Neat as it is, and I haven't read the article yet, but I doubt it'll be any kind of success here. Sure, I think it'll be great in major cities, and would be a great UTV or golf cart replacement in suburbs and exurbs, but the price and the cost of insurance will make it too expensive for those unless something changes.

Interesting, but not surprising, I don't think this is the first old technology to be looked at for power storage. A big mistake that's been made in the past is trying to use the same type of batteries for storage and mobility, but unlike mobility, weight isn't really an issue, nor is charge speed, size is of course something of an issue, but not that much when you're just making a building full of batteries to store generated power overnight.
Ok, this might be the coolest thing ever… Hmmm, wonder if'n I could use one of these to replace the engine in my generator…
