This is how a nice ping display looks like
gping in bash

#gping #graphical #ping

#vistoPorAhí: comandos interesantes de #gnu #linux:

z (cd++, zoxide)
dust (du en rust)
bat (cat++)
dog (dig++)
procs (ps++)
eza (ls++)
gping (ping++)

Esto es una #notaMental para acordarme, si lo prueban, no me hago responsable 😝

#zoxide #dust #bat #dog #dig #rust #procs #eza #ls #gping #ping

Being thankful is important, esp. when you use opensource software.

I'm thankful to the coder(s) of gping a command which sends a nice graphical output in *sh when you invoke it of the ping reponses of your favourite server

In the same line I again want to thank the coder(s) of httping which can send you ping responses in an awsome way

I had spoken about httping before

Thank you all

It is a beautiful sight to see gping with it's output sent through locat.

Gping gives you a graphical representation of the ping responses of a site

#gping because there is no cooler way to ping an address ...

Is there a prober ping library fully written in #Rust?

I wonder why we already have very good HTTP clients (like reqwest) but binaries like #gping still run the ping command:

I ended up calling the ping command too, but a well maintained library would be nice :D

Having heard of it on #latenightlinux I had to give #gping a try. However I don’t seem to see how one is supposed to see if the ping fails

I don't know if Tom is on the fediverse, but I wanted to give a shout out to #gping.

it will give you a graph of pings along with stats in the terminal for multiple IPs.

I love it when doing server maintenance. It's easier to watch out of the corner of my eye than a stream of ping responses. It's a simple concept, but it's very well executed and just makes me happy!
