On the Tokyo-Setagaya line you see a lot of "ordinary" trains but there are some special "cat trains" with which you can go to the Gotoku-ji temple.
Gotoku-ki is the place of Maneki-neko know as Lucky cat or lit. beckoning cat.

Die Bahn brachte uns zum "Katzentempel" #Gotokuji mit hunderten oder tausenden Winkekatzen, die man hier kaufen und als Opfergabe aufstellen kann. Von den Katzen waren wir eher unterwältigt, der Tempel ist aber sehr schön.
Es folgte ein Besuch im #Rikugien-Garten, in dem 88 Landschaftsansichten nachgestellt sind. Dann machten wir einen kurzen Zwischenstopp am #Gokokuji-Tempel, ehe es nach #Ikebukuro ging. Im Anime- und Manga-Viertel war viel los - auch viele Cosplay er unterwegs - was das Bummeln allerdings auf Dauer ermüdend machte. Die Ausstellung zu Given war leider schon komplett ausgebucht,

aber immerhin habe ich ein Artbook bekommen.

Wir haben den Abend dann in der Bar Animeholic im Golden Gai ausklingen lassen.

Se siete fan di gatti, horror vacui e strutture ricorsive, quando andrete a Tokyo fate un salto al Tempio Gotokuji.
Ad attendervi una selva di maneki-neko (gatto che fa cenno - per chiamare la fortuna).

After waking up at the Mercure, we visited Haneda-jinja (aviation safety) and Gotokuji (Maneki-neko). We saw a fantastic Mount Fuji view and visited Azabudai Hills before ending the day with winter illuminations at Roppongi and the Meguro River.

After waking up at the Mercure, we visited the nearby Haneda-jiinja, popular for aviation safety, before going further away to Gotokuji, a temple with thousands of Maneki-neko. We then came across a fantastic Mount Fuji view, had lunch, and checked out the new Azabudai Hills before dinner nearby. We ended the day by viewing winter illuminations at Roppongi and the Meguro River.
