On June 14, join us downtown Lancaster for a rally before the watch party for Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment. ****Wear your RED, WHITE & BLUE, we're getting patriotic**** Lots of flags for the rally; let's show our support for democracy. Stay after the rally for a watch party at 118 N. Columbus St in Lancaster. Rise up, Sing out is an uplifting evening of music, community, and action. Hosted by the Committee for the First Amendment (CFA), this special livestream event will feature an all-star lineup including Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz, Broadway Inspirational Voices, and more. Together, we’ll celebrate the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment — including the freedoms of speech, religion, press, assembly, and protest — and the people power that protects them. Communities across the country will gather for local watch parties to livestream the 90-minute concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. Join us to sing along, connect with neighbors, share food and creativity, and celebrate the power we build when we come together. Whether you’re a longtime organizer or brand new to the movement, you’re invited to an evening of joy, inspiration, and collective action in support of democracy and freedom. *A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*

Join us at the Pavilion by Melvin Price Lock and dam as we march down the path atop the levy that's parallel to Route 143 (Berm highway) and end the march at Russell Commons Park under the Clark Bridge. There are public restrooms at the beginning and end of the march. The route is all flat, so no hills to climb. Bottled water will be available at the beginning and end of the march, and we also encourage you to bring a water bottle as well. Bring flags, signs and your love for democracy as we stand up against fascism in these difficult times for America. Joining us will be veterans that oppose this illegal war in Iran, if you'd like to thank them for their service at the event. Like President Obama said in his 2015 speech in Selma "You are America. Unconstrained by habit and convention. Unencumbered by what is, ready to seize what ought to be. For everywhere in this country, there are first steps to be taken, there is new ground to cover, there are more bridges to be crossed. America is not the project of any one person. The single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes We Can.’ That word is owned by no one. It belongs to everyone. Oh, what a glorious task we are given to continually try to improve this great nation of ours.” A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

**Show Up / Speak Out: Protest With a Purpose** Join us weekly in front of Senator Dave McCormick's Scranton office to speak out against the federal agenda that is making corporations and billionaires richer while the rest of us face soaring costs every day! We will also make our way over to Congressman Rob Bresnahan's office regularly to ask why he's not holding in-person town halls to face questions from his constituents and why he keeps selling us out while he gets richer and richer. **What you need to know:** - Bring signs! Signs focused on healthcare and the ACA will be perfect! - Invite your friends! Let's get as many folks there as possible! - Do YOU have a story to tell about how increasing healthcare premiums will impact your family? Let us know! Email us at [email protected] and we can help guide you through the storytelling process. - There is often street parking available near Senator McCormick's office. There are also several parking garages, including one across from the Steamtown Marketplace. - We're there to stand up for each other and for healthcare for our families and neighbors. We keep our events fun, positive, and safe for all attendees. If there are any detractors there, please don't give them any of your energy and defer to Action Together NEPA staff to keep everyone safe. **EVERGREEN EVENT INFO** **Our communities in NEPA deserve to be heard.** That’s why we launched Show Up / Speak Out, a weekly campaign to deliver letters and petitions, share our stories, stand up for our communities, and demand action from our legislators. 📣 If we can’t get in the door, we’ll make our voices heard outside. ✊ Whether constituents get a visit or it’s strictly a protest with a purpose, we’ll be there — every week. 🗓️ Every Monday at 2pm – Outside Senator Dave McCormick’s Scranton office (417 Lackawanna Ave, Scranton, PA 18503.) 🏢 We’re gathering outside McCormick’s office, and we’ll take field trips over to Bresnahan’s office. Because guess what? Bresnahan’s office is conveniently located just around the corner! **This is what democracy looks like—NEPA style.** Action Together NEPA is proud to host these actions as part of the Pennsylvanians Together coalition, working together to create a commonwealth where we all can thrive, not just survive. We work to hold our elected leaders accountable and empower constituents to take action.

Start Flag Day with a visible show of patriotism, community, and support for the values that unite us. Bring your American flag, your favorite signs, and your enthusiasm as we gather for a peaceful sign wave to celebrate the ideals of liberty, equality, and democracy. Whether you're a regular attendee or joining us for the first time, all are welcome. This morning sign wave is a separate event from our afternoon Flag Day celebration, making it easy to participate in one or both activities. Come for the full event or just stop by for a few minutes. Every wave, every smile, and every conversation helps remind our neighbors that democracy is something we build together. Bring a friend, wear your red, white, and blue, and help us kick off Flag Day with joy, hope, and civic pride.
