As you may have heard, childhood cancer funding was recently eliminated by the Trump administration, making private research funding from organizations like ACS more important than ever.
Today I am thinking of my childhood friend Kimmy who died of leukemia when we were in second grade. We met in preschool and loved ballet, playing Barbies, and splashing in the pool in the yard. I imagine that with today's advances, she would have survived. I'm setting a goal to raise $100 in her memory today.
