Winner of this year’s #Eurovision #GoldenRose for Greatest Game Show in the Known World, Sorry voor Alles has been sold from één to NPO.
The show is a hidden camera game, with a busload of prizes for the “victim”. But it’s got more levels, there’s an emotional journey as well.
There are smiles, as the boyfriend takes dance lessons to do the “Uptown funk” video (pictured).
There are emotions, as the grandparents are flown in to visit.
There are “what the ..?” moments as our hero goes to a casting call, where she’s asked to fake a breakdown in an otherwise empty room. How long can she continue sobbing and weeping and crying?
And there are clues, hints on chalkboards and placemats.
My overwhelming takeaway: #SorryVoorAlles is confident. Almost cocky. It can go anywhere, do anything. It puts in massive amounts of hard work to have its tricks pay off. And the whole show is done so that the star is the person who’s been filmed.
