Когда онлайн-словари через веб-браузер утомляют ограниченностью и тупостью статей. Тогда можно взять оболочку для словарей, какой-нибудь #GoldenDict. Например, #GoldenDict-ng — есть в AUR и собирается из исходников при установке. Сейчас версия выглядит как:

На вкладке Sources-Files натравить на директорию с подборкой словарей (файлами *.idx и *.dict.dz). А на других вкладках
можно выключить всё, ради чего лазает в интернеты.
Словари занимают на диске ну 146 Мб места и толку в разы больше. Где именно брать StarDict\Lingvo словари, какие именно — это уже индивидуальное. В моём случае подборка из 20+ словарей:
как stardict-*-LingvoUniversal или idioms,
так и специализированные stardict-lingvo-*-Accounting, ...-Americana, ...-Auto, ...-Biology, ...-Building, ...-Computer, ...-Computers, ...-Economics, ...-Engineering, ...-FinancialManagement, ...-FinancialMarkets, ...-Grammar, ...-GreatBritain, ...-Informal, ...-Law, ...-Management, ...-Marketing, ...-MechanicalEngineering, ...-Medical, ...-Patents, ...-Physics, ...-Polytechnical, ...-Science, ...-Telecoms

Зачем?
Качество и разнообразие словарных статей в первую очередь, нежели возможность работать в оффлайне.

Dá pra criar glosários com facilidade e usar no Goldendic.

#欧路词典 本身的词典扩充是通过支持#MDX 和#MDD 这两个词典库文件格式实现的，而这两个文件格式是由另一个#闭源 #商业软件 #mdict 开发的（很多人误以为mdict是开源的）

mdict后来更新了mdx #文件格式 使其和旧版不再兼容，应该意图也是想加强控制以走向商业化
目前网络上和论坛里流传的各种词典库也还是用旧版的mdx/mdd的

所以更推荐开源的词典软件如#GoldenDict 等，它们除了兼容常见的（旧版本）mdx/mdd格式外还支持很多开源词典文件格式，而且自身#开源 也不用担心突然被mdic限制

顺便如果是#iOS 和#macOS 用户的话，Apple一直在系统内自带了免费的完整版各语言#词典 的

I admit that Creative Commons Zero makes no legal sense with #BGOffice's EN2BG/BG2EN dictionaries, but at the dict ludost mailing list no one objected against it back in 2020. It's just a declaration that I have no right to claim any kind of ownership. I rediscovered them when I logged back to my account. Still working fine with #ColorDict and #GoldenDict.
