I like reading the #GlobeAndMail with the app that mimics newsprint paper. Today (03-12-2026) on page A4 we have a detailed story on current weapons on the same page as an ad for a tour of past war sites. I’m not sure what this says about humans and their fascination with killing each other, but it doesn’t make me optimistic. Is it humans? Or #patriarchy (as I enter hashtag I noticed that #patriot shares the first 5 letters).
The #GlobeandMail has made a breakthrough discovery about the ontological status of #HoldenCaulfield. The photograph below is the illustration in its newsletter this morning for a piece entitled “The push into non-fiction ‘pocket paperbacks’.”

Looks like the #GlobeAndMail is embracing the use of #LLMs 😞

Time to cancel my subscription, I guess. #NoAI

Can Pierre Poilievre’s conservatism win in our brave new world?

The Tories will have to reckon with an uncomfortable question: can their Leader’s movement succeed in a Canada under the shadow of Donald Trump?

Imagine being so devoid of any sense of duty to the country as a “paper of record” that you write:

“Canadians must acknowledge the real risk that Mr. Trump will use military coercion against our country.”

But leave the article behind a paywall, guaranteeing it is not seen by the majority of readers, let alone the majority of Canadians.
