"Blueberry Hill" is a popular American song published in 1940 and first recorded and released by #SammyKaye in 1940 on #RCAVictor. "Moonlight Serenade" is an American swing #ballad composed by #GlennMiller with subsequent lyrics by #MitchellParish. It was an immediate phenomenon when released in May 1939 as an instrumental arrangement, though it had been adopted and performed as Miller's #signatureTune as early as 1938, even before it had been given the name "Moonlight Serenade". In 1991, Miller's recording of "Moonlight Serenade" was inducted into the #GrammyHallOfFame.

You only need to change a few words to update When That Man Is Dead And Gone:

Some fine day the news'll flash
Satan with that orange rash
Is asleep beneath the lawn
When that man is dead and gone

Tho' I think it sounds a bit more 1940 to say "that awful rash"; it'd certainly be easier to sing.

I'm not into Al Bowlly's extended lyrics; the line about Goering's difficult in multiple ways:

Satan'll take him by the hand
To meet old Goering, luftwaffe man

But maybe (with context):

What a day to wake up on
What a way to greet the dawn
Satan with those tiny hands
will fall into hell's hinterlands
When that man is dead and gone
When that man is dead and gone
