Oooh, 30 years ago, my brother and I got to see the mighty Deep Purple for free as a friend and her husband couldn't go. A band called Pan Ram supported but it goes without saying Deep Purple were excellent ๐๐๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

A wee blast of I Like It Hot by Wolfsbane last night in Glasgow as they opened for The Almighty. A great set indeed ๐ค ๐ ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
Well, would you look at that. 30 years ago to the day, I was the grand old age of 17 and heading up to see my favourite band for the first time. A great gig it was as well although the support band, My Dying Bride, never actually played.
While that's been the only time I've seen Blaze Bayley, I'll be seeing him in there again this month when Wolfsbane open for The Almighty. Woohoo! ๐ค๐
I don't know what YOU were doing on this date 30 years ago but I was heading up to Glasgow to see the mighty Machine Head (supported by Meshuggah and Mary Beats Jane).
As you can see by the photiegraphs, I attended a signing session earlier in the day where I had Robb Flynn sign my guitar pick with the MH initials. I also had them sign my Old ten incher.
Chris Kontos wasn't present at the session so his signature isn't on my Old ten incher๐ฎ
Do YOU know what you were doing on this date 30 years ago?
I was coming 17 and heading up to Glasgow to see the mighty Megadeth supported by Corrosion of Conformity. And a bloody good night was had by all ๐ค๐๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
I've no idea what YOU were doing on this day 30 years ago but I was almost 17 years old and most certainly doing something way cooler. Heading up to Glasgow to see the mighty Queensryche!
