Anybody got tipps for a good Gitkraken alternative (Git GUI) that works on Linux?

Love the easier user interface compared to plain CLI. Can also live with a subscription - but forced AI features is just too much.

No way to opt out of this bullshit and of course they are increasing prices because of their "investment" 🤮

Very upset with GIT (Kraken GUI)
My head fell off again. I thought I had done the right things to work on a previous Commit, but it seems not.
I don't understand why I can't press the "Work from this Commit" button, and it know I want a branch, not a DETACHED HEAD!! FAIL!! BAD DEV! NO COOKIE!

Also, Kraken did an update, and deleted my Desktop Shortcut. AGAIN! Why would it do this???

I don't know why Git/Kraken is not my friend, but it isn't

For anyone using GitKraken and Claude code - GitKraken may have (or probably will in an update), modified your %appdata%/.claude/settings.json with a bunch of hooks to the GitKraken CLI that sends everything you put into claude through the GitKraken CLI that then sends it off to ??? who knows.

Small confirmed rumours and not much noise about this currently, but to fix this you won’t just be able to stop at uninstalling GitKraken as their CLI will still exist (reportedly).

Personally I’m happy to see AI get fucked over, but also personally I’d prefer people using it self-own themselves instead of paid software hacking other software.
