Contested Diva’, the first original Italian docu-series on the platform, which will debut exclusively on Friday, April 3, 2026, with three episodes available in full binge-watch. The docu reconstructs the real ‘Gina Lollobrigida case’, the incredible judicial affair that captured public attention with a tangle of intrigues, deception, and surprising revelations.
It recounts the life of the great international cinema diva – an actress, photographer, sculptor, painter, symbol of independence – up to her death in 2023, focusing on the legal battle that erupted around her substantial estate (estimated between 10 and 20 million euros, with funds possibly hidden in Panama).

The contenders and family melodrama
Competing for the economic, artistic, and moral inheritance are: her son, Milko Skofic, the self-proclaimed husband Francisco Javier Rigau, and manager Andrea Piazzolla. As the last years of the diva’s life transform into a vortex of accusations, betrayals, and suspicions of manipulation. The series combines the portrait of the great star with the story of her final period of existence, in which her fragility placed her at the center of an intense family melodrama with judicial twists and turns, an unresolved legal matter across three levels of court.

Requiem für eine Männerfrau

Brigitte Bardot ist gestorben. In allen Sprachen reissen die tiefsinnigen Nachrufe nicht ab. Tiefsinn halte ich für eine besonders unangenehme Variante von Unsinn. Gerade im Umgang mit Frauen gibt es etwas Besseres. Das ist der Leichtsinn.

Dabei bin ich doch fast so alt schon wie wie Brigitte Bardot soeben geworden ist. Und sie war das Idol junger Männer meiner frühen Tage. Aber war da nur Brigitte Bardot? Da waren doch auch Sophia Loren, Marlene Dietrich, Gina Lollobrigida und, ja auch sie, die unvergessliche, die tragische Marilyn Monroe. Vielleicht in jedem Dorf, vielleicht in jedem Stadtquartier hat es damals ähnliche Frauen gegeben.

Eine habe ich gekannt. Nur zwei Häuser von mir entfernt, hat sie in der „Indianersielung“ in Köln gewohnt. Nicht Gina hiess sie und nicht Marlene, sondern Uschi. Gewöhnlicher geht´s nicht. Was war das Ungewöhnliche an dieser gewöhnlichsten aller Frauen?

Damals schon war Uschi der nicht so häufige Fall einer Frau, die Männer mochte. Es genügte, sie an der Haustür zu erleben, wenn ein Mann vorbeikam und sie mit ihm in ein flüchtiges Gespräch geriet. Wie sie da aufblühte! Ein Mann! Nicht dieser oder jener, sondern ganz einfach ein Mann. Das Gewöhnlichste und doch das Ungewöhnlichste war Uschi: eine Frau, die Männer liebt.

Viel wurde über Uschi geredet. Über den verfemten Beruf, dem sie eine Weile nachgegangen war. „Da hat wirklich einmal eine,“ war der nachsichtige Befund, „genau den Beruf ausgeübt, für den sie gemacht war.“ Das abschliessende urkölsche Urteil über Uschi: „Dat is en Männerfrau!“ „Et Dieu créa la femme“ war Brigitte Bardots bester Film. Uschi hätte einen noch besseren Film gedreht: „Et pour la femme Dieu créa l´homme.“

Und wie mit Uschi, so mit Gina, mit Marlene, mit Sophia, mit Brigitte: Frauen von ganz ungewöhnlicher Gewöhnlichkeit, „Männerfrauen“ alles. Aber hat es das nicht immer gegeben, Frauen, die Männer mochten? Ninon de Lenclos, die grosse Hetäre im Paris des Sonnenkönigs, die noch mit über siebzig Spass daran fand, die jungen Adeligen des Hofs in die Liebe einzuführen? Zu schweigen von Cleopatra, der hundert Männer in einer Nacht kaum genügt haben? So weit geht der Blick in Wehmut zurück.

Und der Blick in die Zukunft?

Dass wohl keine junge Kölnerin mehr das Wort „Männerfrau“ kennt, liegt nicht nur am Untergang der kölschen Sprache. Viel mehr liegt es an der Sache: Männerfrauen gibt´s nicht mehr. Wird es sie jemals wieder geben, Frauen, die Männer mit Leib und Seele mögen? Kaum wage ich, darauf zu hoffen. Nur die Filmgeschichte wird uns bleiben. Jetzt bleibt uns, eine der letzten grossen Männerfrauen nach der andern zu Grabe zu tragen.

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.
