Finally some updates! All the body routing is done. I still need to wind the pickups but they should look pretty sweet next to the Bubinga beauty rings I made for them. I'll be filling them with bling. Also threw in a shot of the rear cover. It's since been level sanded so it doesn't look as nice 😂 #guitar #luthery #ggbo23

Good weekend. Got the neck ready to radius and fret. Ebony binding with w/b/w purfling to match the ebony head plate. Fingerboard is white limba with crushed opal inlays (except the alien, it's malachite). Now I need to start hollowing the body and get the neck joint. This will be set neck, not bolt-on.

Today was neck glue up day. Frets slots cut, inlay cut with the CNC and them stick it all together. An extra mahogany neck blank made a perfect clamping caul.

#guitar content! I've been out of the shop for a couple weeks thanks to covid. It finally got me. Anyway, I'm mostly better and had some time over the weekend. Fingerboard (white limba) was hand slotted then through the CNC for the first time. I'll be filling with something sparkly. Ebony head plate also glued up.
