Because I'm serious about the work we're doing together.

And I know how frustrating it is when clients make the payment process difficult through excessive haggling or delay.

Never be afraid to ask for half down — it'll weed out those that are serious from those that are likely to take you for a ride.

I found this video on a post by Neil Gaiman in reply to Joanne Harris on Tumblr on the topic of the writers’ strike.

I find myself agreeing with both Harlan Ellison and Neil Gaiman on this one. Which does not make anyone right or wrong – it means I find myself more persuaded one way than the other.
