A deeply thought-provoking article, thank you for sharing. Much to reflect upon, I will give it plenty of re-reading.
And a fine homage to Gerard Unger, whose work stands above the change of fashion. I once produced a book for an NGO, all in Swift, and I love his Oranda, a typeface designed for a very specific print technology, but precisely because of its limitations it stands on its own.
I raise my glass to the great #GerardUnger.
Ah, the Swifts! Apple. Taylor.
No posts at all about Jonathan Swift the satirical author?
Nothing at all about Gerard Unger's beautiful and versatile typeface?
Well, we can change that.

As a contribution to the work of an NGO I supported, I once did the digital typesetting and layout of an entire book for them. In Unger's Swift.
Memorial Day: #GerardUnger (*22.1.1942; †23.11.2018).
