Day 4: More WrestleQuest today, wherein we see the formation of this Universe's MegaPowers and possibly the McMahon stand in, and finished Mike Flanagan's "Gerald's Game."

Gerald's Game was taut and tense, and I had to look away entirely many times. Flanagan clearly inspires a level of trust and compassion that allows his actors to get to the places they do so often, and with quite the recidivism rate! The ending was a little rushed, but it comes so close to a perfect 5/5 for me, that I'd recommend it whole-heartedly.

Got my ACL surgery yesterday, and so begins a cool 180 day recovery. Gonna try to be more intentional with my time and experience a lot of books, comics, games, and movies I just haven't had the time to get to.

Day 0 post-operation recovery media consumption - Watched half of Gerald's Game with Jenny. Mike Flanagan is a fave of hers, and now mine. Carla Gugino is a force in this. Excited to finish, but its a heavy, sometimes uncomfortable watch.

Day 1 PORMC - Started a game I've wanted to try out for so long: WrestleQuest. A turn based RPG love letter to the wild world of wrestling, tons of easter eggs and cameos from real life wrestlers. So far, I'm really enjoying it. The gist is the game takes place in a toybox, so instead of just seeing Macho Man and Jake the Snake, you're also seeing Lego Minifigs and Dinosaurs and superheroes duke it out in the squared circle.

A truly novel take on the genre that evokes not only the golden age of wrestling, but also, somehow, Chrono Trigger and the Paper Mario franchise.

#GeraldsGame (2017) RATED 18+ Ummmmmmm... I'm very uncomfortable about this film up until the end which concluded my satisfaction about how fricking good the emotion, the trauma, the pain, the memories... It won't matter What matter is now. Phenomenal film 9/10
