Today's task: collecting glacial erratics from outwash gravels of the Briton's Lane Formation in Norfolk (UK) (Anglian/Elsterian stage of the Pleistocene) : scourings from earlier formations in the western North Sea region, incl granites, gneisses, ORS breccias & conglomerates, quartzites, porphyries, dolerites, ferricretes, a migmatite ... all weltering in monstrous quantities of grey Lincolnshire flint. To research & interpret them for SSSI quarry restoration plans. #geology #geoconservation
