It’s been two years of Emily’s journey with TRUK and our personal lives followed by the TRUK film crew and it’s now a short film 🤩. It’s has been an absolute honour to give our time to this fantastic project and to be followed by a crew of LGBTQ people and massive allies we knew we were in safe hands. They have done an exceptional job of telling this story, it’s honest, beautiful and joyful. We are going to be away from next week and will be helping to promote the film for a couple of weeks. A huge thank you to my oldest two kids for holding things down at home while we do this, I couldn’t do this without their help. I’ve now got to put ALOT in place to manage my mental health to be able to have the energy and strength to do this. There are a lot of unknowns I’m going to have to navigate and it’s a lot of advocacy for us both. I also have Emily’s safety and education to manage so I need to ensure I have the resources for that. If any of you can help towards expenses for this it would be a massive help as with all trans advocacy it’s self funded https://www.paypal.me/Emmsywillo
I truly believe in this project it is a beautiful, powerful and joyful film if I didn’t believe it can change things I wouldn’t put us through all of this. I believe this film is a much needed breath of fresh air and I can’t wait for you all to see it.
There are still tickets for this viewing if you are in the London area https://genesiscinema.co.uk/event/96477#:~:text=A%20special%20gala%20screening%20of,grassroots%2C%20proudly%20trans%20football%20club

"A melancholic, monstrous romantic horror with a very unusual take on time": Park Sye-young's bedbound fungal freakshow THE FIFTH THORACIC VERTEBRA is a mattress-y mystery that eventually locates genuine sublimity in its gonzo premise. You have seen nothing like this.
I'll introduce it 8.50pm tomorrow (10 Nov) at the #GenesisCinema for the #LondonKoreanFilmFestival
Plus Park's short(ish) film CASHBAG.

Haunted house, haunted family: Kang Dong-hun's CONTORTED is "deft in recombining its borrowed tropes to wrong-foot even the most genre savvy."
