I've spent some of my "free" time during the last few days tweaking my genealogy database program. The functionality hasn't changed but the built-in help is much better. I've added some documentation too - on my website and in the repositories. There's still plenty of documentation to do, though.

I rebuilt my family history website too, because one of the changes affected every single one of the ~3500 files.
Those using #GoogleMaps in #genealogy blogs or online #genealogysoftware ( Gigatrees, Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding, #webtrees etc.), there are changes coming to Google Maps in March. It shouldn't affect most of us, should still be free for many.

Tim Forsythe released a significant update to his free #Windows #genealogy program Gigatrees, that allows you to generate an online site from your genealogy program's GEDCOM file. A lot of new features - 11 new features.
#webtrees an online #genealogy #PHP application was updated to webtrees 2.2.1 just over a week ago, addressing issues for the recently released webtrees 2.2.0. webtrees users who are running PHP 8.3 or newer can upgrade to it.

#RootsMagic 10.0.3 is now out, with a bug fix for the Relationship Chart report data loss issue, along with a couple of updates for #FamilySearch imports, and miscellaneous other fixes. RM users should update now.
#ThrowbackThursday - in the span of 1984-1994, #genealogy programs went from hundreds of records limited by computer RAM/floppy sizes to millions of records. This example - 664 names per floppy, to 2 million names ( #FamilyTreeMaker )

#rootsmagic 10 users - temporarily hold off on creating Relationship Charts - there is an issue with limited data loss when doing so (namely data entered after you create a Relationship Chart). A fix is coming next Monday (Dec 9).
